3 Vaping & Wholesale Electronic Cigarette Myths Uncovered

By Billy Genthner

Vaping is gaining in popularity and while millions of people are switching from traditional cigarettes to wholesale electronic cigarettes, there are plenty of myths out there surrounding the world of vaping. Read on as we bust a few of the more common myths surrounding wholesale e-cigarettes and wholesale e-liquids.

1. Wholesale E-Liquid Ingredients Are Unknown

One of the perks of vaping is the wide range of E-liquid flavors. You will never get bored sampling the many hundreds of flavors of wholesale E-liquids. Some people enjoy the smoky, tobacco-inspired blends while others opt for candy flavors or even coffee flavors. Many vaping detractors argue that we simply don't know what ingredients are found in a typical wholesale E-liquid, and furthermore, these ingredients probably aren't safe.

There is no great mystery regarding wholesale E-liquid ingredients. Generally, you will find four different components, one of which is nicotine. Nicotine is addictive and is what gets you hooked on tobacco; however, when it comes to E-liquids you can gradually reduce the amount of nicotine until your E-liquids contain none at all. Aside from nicotine, there are either artificial or natural flavors, just as we might have in any food product. Propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin are the two remaining ingredients, and both of these have been approved as safe by the FDA. Tobacco cigarettes, on the other hand, contain hundreds of toxins including about 70 items that are listed as carcinogens.

2. Vapor Is Just As Dangerous As Smoke

Wholesale electronic cigarettes emit a fine vapor or mist and sometimes this mist has a light scent that reflects the e-liquid flavor; however, there is no actual smoke coming from a wholesale E-cig. Several recent studies have compared this vapor with the smoke from a regular tobacco cigarette. Second-hand smoke from tobacco cigarettes contains about 7,000 different chemical compounds, including more than 60 cancer-causing toxins. Vaping has been shown to emit about six toxins and all at far lower levels than traditional cigarettes. While it's certainly important to continue researching vaping and traditional cigarettes, thus far vaping seems to pose little to no risk to the general public.

Second-hand tobacco smoke is definitely a big hazard, but that's not the only hazard posed by traditional cigarettes. In 2011, for instance, the National Fire Protection Association reported that about 90,000 fires were started that year due to tobacco cigarettes and these fires caused about 500 deaths. FEMA studied accidents relating to electronic cigarettes and found that over the course of 2009-2014, there were only 25 fire-related vaping incidents. Only nine of these incidents resulted in injuries and there were no deaths reported. Generally, all of these vaping incidents were caused by individuals who did not follow the manufacturer's battery charging instructions.

3. Electronic Cigarettes Lure Children To Smoke

If you pop into a vape shop, you will see a variety of attractively packaged wholesale E-liquids. The yummy flavors combined with the brightly hued packaging must have been an evil plan concocted by the vaping industry to lure youngsters into trying electronic cigarettes, right? Or, it could just be, that adults also are attracted to colorful, fun packaging and they also enjoy a variety of E-liquid flavors. It is true that the numbers of children and teenagers vaping are on the rise, this is true of all age groups. As vaping becomes more and more popular, it is only logical that use would increase in just about every group.

The good news is that it is more difficult for people younger than 18 to acquire wholesale electronic cigarettes than regular cigarettes. Most vapers only have one or two vaping kits, whereas tobacco smokers might have several packs of cigarettes in the house, making it easy to sneak a few without being noticed. When you begin vaping, you have to purchase a start-up kit and this upfront cost can be more than many teens can afford. In addition, you have to buy from an online vape store which requires a credit card or a specialty shop that caters to vapers. It's just not that easy to buy wholesale E-cigs and wholesale E-liquids if you are 18 or younger.
