Tips To Use To Prevent Acne Inflammation

By Alan Bradd

Acne is one among many skin conditions that is mainly characterized by pimples, blackheads and whiteheads. It occurs mainly on the face because of a mixture of oil and dead skin cells that block your sweat pores. This skin condition normally occurs in teenagers but may later transgress to the earlier parts of adulthood. Here is how to fight this skin condition.

You can prevent this skin condition by ensuring that you keep your face clean all the time. Washing the face daily can help remove out the impurities, oil, and the dead skin cells. Be sure to use warm water as opposed to hot water, and a gentle soap when washing your face. Use a light cloth to wash up, then rinse and dry yourself using a clean towel.

Use a moisturizer that can minimize the dryness caused by acne and prevent the skin from peeling. When choosing a moisturizer, consider the nature of your skin first, i.e. whether you have an oily skin or dry one, or a combination of the two. This is because different moisturizers exist for different skins.

For acne purposes, it is normally advisable to avoid using too much make up such as the powder, blush or wearing foundation. If you do, you should wash it out every night before bedtime. The chemical composition of some of the cosmetics can cause emergence of pimples and irritation on the skin. When buying make up, always look for the ones written noncomedogenic as these cannot cause acne.

It is also important to keep your hair away from your face to avoid acne. Some of the fragrances, oils, and gels that you apply on the hair can cause the sweat pores to block when they touch the face. Instead of these, you can just use a gentle shampoo and conditioner when washing your hair.

You should also not touch your face often. Touching the face can spread bacteria and cause irritation on the skin of a person who has acne. If you have any pimples on your face, use the proper treatment instead of picking or popping the pimples, which can cause scarring, and infection.

One of the triggers for this skin condition is exposure to too much sunlight, which causes irritation on the face of a person with acne. It is important to stay away from direct sunlight during periods of high intensity, or wearing protective clothing to protect yourself from the sun. Additionally, you can also use sunscreen with a SPF of 30 when you are outdoors to avoid being sunburned.

Spare time for regular exercise every day. Exercise helps with the metabolism of the body and proper functioning of various organs of the body, of which the skin is one. Wear lightly when exercising, and make sure you stay away from machines that rub your skin. It is wise to shower immediately after exercising to avoid clogging of sweat pores.

Avoid stress to fight acne. Stress is one of the risk factors that trigger acne. It is important to avoid stressful situations in your life, but if you find yourself entangled in one, seek professional help when you are unable to deal with it yourself.
