The gasket of the freezer is a rubber seal that is attached in each edge of the door. If your refrigerator functions well, it means that the seals are attached properly and properly tightened. It also allows the appliance unit to work in an efficient and effective manner. There are some basic ways in checking the mechanical seal of your ref. First, you may place your fingers in the mechanical unit. If you see that the frames are not providing an amount of coldness, it means that the gasket has been leaked and it blocks a freezing air.

Use a paper to close the door. Place a piece of paper and try to pull the paper from the door. If it tends to slide and does not have a rough composition, then it means that the gaskets are not properly sealed.

Place the lighted flashlight in the refrigerator and slowly close the door. Swith the lights on, in the kitchen and look for some light bleedings in the gasket. If you see an escaping light from the refrigerator, it just means that the gasket is failing and id does not provide an efficient function.

Use a cloth in removing all food particles that possibly interfere tha seal. Remove any blockage and clean the gasket properly. This will make sure that there are no components that remains in the unit that could possibly be pushed against the door. It is essential to rearrange the freezer if possible and check again the gasket. If it seems that nothing happens, it is time to replace the whole unit.

The cause of the problems may be due to the seal itself. If you have noticed that the door is level, the reason behind it could be the gasket. It needs proper cleaning to be assured that the seal is properly tightened. Fortunately, this work will only cost at a friendly rate and easy to be done. This is usually the issue that can be easily resolved.

If you prefer to hire a technician, you have to list first all the necessary things and your observations of your unit. This is a better way to save lots of money and your time. You only need to emphasize what is more important that could identify a certain issue. This will also help the technician to easily determine the problems.
