Having a dog not only brings you more fun, it changes your lifestyle positively as well. A dog is your best companion when you do outdoor activities such as hiking, jogging. Summer is coming. There's no reason to be lazy indoor anymore. Go out and start hiking or jogging with your dog to get fit for the summer. Getting outside to enjoy a beautiful warm day with your dog not only gets you closer to the nature but also helps you keep fit. In this post we are going to suggest some of the most recommended outdoor activities you can do with your dog.

Walking This is one of the most known lifetime sports. I mean everyone is doing it, more or less. Walking for half an hour a day, for at least five days a week, you can lower the risk of high blood pressure, diabetes and heart diseases. Walking your dog will help you improve your fitness and health form incomparably. Owning a dog is an excellent trick to incorporate walking into your life. This activity is good for your bone health, as well for your dogs.

Jogging Jogging with your loving pet is excellent for your lungs and heart's health, being an activity that improves your stamina. The secret is to start gradually and to increase your distance or time by maximum 10% a week. Going faster with the process isn't bad for your lungs or heart, but for your muscles and joints, and you can develop medical problems. So get the perfect pair of running shoes and a good sports bra, if you're a woman, and start improving your fitness and health form alongside the company of your dog.

Hiking This activity will help you get an amazing leg workout, while providing cardiovascular benefits as well. You can run away from the unbearable noise of the city and pollution and go to the closest forest or park with your dog. While having a break from the stressful daily life and listening to the birds or enjoying the forest breeze, you can do some exercises as well. In order to do this activity with your dog, you need to prepare a bit before. You should take a backpack with you, for carrying water, hiking boots and some dog shoes, if you know the terrain is going to be rocky. Pack his collar as well, maybe he loves hiking so much that he wants to spend more time doing it.

Water Sports Most dogs love water. If you live near a beach or a lake, you'll definitely have fun moments playing water sports with your dogs. Surfing is a water sport you can let your dog play with you. However dog surfing requires training. If your dog can not surf, take him to go swimming with you.
