Techniques Used For Male Hair Removal Fairfield

By Ruth Butler

Previously, the removal of hairs was only done by women. The only men who considered it were the swimmers, cyclists, bodybuilders and male exotic dancers. That is no longer the case. There are more males who are considering removal of hairs from different parts of their bodies. The selection of the right method to use is never easy. In considering male hair removal Fairfield residents need to know the different options they can use.

There is the use of lasers which is commonly used. It involves the use of laser energy for penetration of hair shafts so that the root of hairs is killed. That does not kill the follicle however, which means there can be re-growth of hairs later on, but that is difficult. The treatment takes about 30 minutes for each session and you may need as much as 8 sessions.

Laser removal of hairs is suited for areas like the stomach, back, shoulders and chest. It is more suitable for darker hairs and light skin. It is not suitable for blond hairs. After the procedure, results are almost permanent. There should however be follow-up treatments either per year or every 2 years. Waxing is another technique which could be used. The technique involves using lotion on affected areas. The lotion affects only hairs. There are cloth strips which are placed on the cream, which will be removed after some minutes to remove hairs.

Waxing usually takes between ten minutes to one hour, with the time depending on areas of the body that should be waxed. Waxing is suitable for unibrows, eyebrow shaping and removing hairs from the underarms and neck. The genital area can be waxed but that comes with some pain. You should first consider waxing other parts of the body before the genital area.

Removal of hairs is also done using electrolysis. That will involve use of very slim needles to penetrate individual shafts. Electrolysis works by delivering electricity shocks to follicles of hair and thus killing cells that make up hair. After the cells are gone, hairs will not grow again. The time the procedure takes will depend on the area where hairs are to be removed.

The simplest form of hair removal is shaving. You will simply need a razor and some shaving creams. Shaving is popular because it does not require much skill and thus a person can do it individually. The downside of shaving could be the itchy regrowth and the risk of developing painful and unsightly ingrown hairs.

Hairs can be removed using depilatory creams. The creams are easy to use and can be applied simply. One simply needs to apply the cream, let it stay there for a few minutes before washing off. All the unwanted hairs will be removed. The use of creams is suitable for areas like shoulders which might be difficult to reach using razors for instance.

Threading is a technique that men can use. It is less painful and more precise as compared to waxing. It involves twisting an rolling a thread to quickly get rid of hairs.
