Doctor who occupies the topmost position in profession is considered next to Superior. They are the people with magical hands and blessed skills to treat illness. The optometrists do primary check up. They are able to identify small defects and can prescribe optic drops and sometimes glasses to wear. But they are not qualified to carry out a surgery. If they find the situation is complicated and requires more advanced treatment, he can direct the patient to an experienced and skilled specialist. An optician is a technician frames and fixes glasses according to ones need and choice. He has no right to diagnose or treat any optic disorder.
