With so many health trends and fads, its hard to keep up. One that is making waves and becoming more popular is eating all raw. That means eating raw vegetables and getting leaves and seeds and berries to add to your meals.

This trend may not be to everyones taste. For those who would like an all natural lifestyle they can buy wild edible plants of California. This is great for staying slim and getting the daily dose of vitamins in minerals. You can get it from your diet instead of a pill. Its natures pharmacy.

There are nurseries that sell plants retail or wholesale. You can find them online. If they are too far from where you live since many are in Northern California you can buy them online and have it delivered to your home. You can also find places in other parts of the state that sell edible plants.

It is good to use a nursery to buy your seedlings and pods because you are guaranteed safe nontoxic plants. It is not advisable to try and pick out the plants by yourself in the wild. They could grow next to similar looking vegetation that may be poisonous.

If you do your research, you will find that nature has its own cures and therapies to heal you. You can find plenty of books and web sites that can give you information on the healing properties of plants. There are some that can treat a cold or sore throat. There are others that can prevent diseases.

Commonly treated as an invasive weed, asiatic dayflower is actually popular in Asia. Every part from the stem to the flowers and leave can be eaten. You can make jams, wines, and infusions from elderberries. Only eat the fully ripened berries because the unripe ones can harm you. In the San Fernando Valley, olive trees are common. Olives can be used in pastas and soups but do not eat them straight off the tree. They have a natural bitter taste which requires curing before it can be removed.

Always choose a reputable nursery. There are many to choose from. You can even try buying the seeds from the nursery and growing them in your backyard. Mixing seeds, leaves, and berries in your diet is one way to stay healthy while consuming natural unprocessed foods from nature.
