Why Every Household Needs Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

By Kathleen Evans

These days, having a full mane of curls seems to be the fashion trend that is not going away anytime soon. For many, this is one of the easiest hairdos to care for, as well as being economical. However, what a lot of wearers may not realize is that it is not necessary to buy costly hair care brands that are sold mostly at beauty supply retailers. It is very easy to have a more frugal routine by using real ingredients like aloe vera and organic extra virgin olive oil.

While some may see a difference with a single application, it may take others a few applications. Those with noticeably damaged hair may find that cutting the ends and starting fresh with a new routine can make styling a lot easier. This is common with people who regularly use chemicals or live in extreme climate temperatures.

While this oil is not ideal for cooking with high heat, it does make an excellent salad dressing base. Other ideas may be for marinating fire roasted vegetables or cooked pasta. There are many good recipes that can help an individual lose weight or prevent a chronic condition from becoming serious. Many Mediterranean dishes call for the use of extra virgin olive oil and fresh vegetables.

It is also ideal for those suffering from dry skin and hair, as some consumer products can only give temporary results. Some of these over the counter products may also contain ingredients that trigger allergies or may make some products less effective. Using a small portion of the heated oil costs a lot less than going to the salon for a deep conditioning treatment. Some users also find this oil to be best for curing heels that are extremely dry or cracked, as lotions and creams may have to be applied repeatedly.

While the remedy may vary for each individual, one thing to keep in mind is that it may not be necessary to spend money on a professional stylist. Dry ends may not necessarily need to be chopped off but many find that starting fresh is the easiest way to change. For those who are not ready to do the big chop, trimming an inch or two before washing can make a difference.

Those with a naturally moist mane may only need to use the product for 20 minutes or less. When a person looks at a container of this oil and compares it to a trendy hair care product or visiting a salon, it is not hard to see the savings. During extremely warm or cold temperatures, a little oil can also be used on the scalp so that it is no longer flaking or itchy.

The best way to get the most savings from any oil is to buy in bulk. Most natural or specialty grocery stores have this in large volume or are happy to place a special order. There are also online merchants that can assist with getting enough for several uses shipped out within a day or two. This is a lot more economical than driving around looking for trendy brands that are only good for a couple of applications.

A lot of information in regard to shopping healthy can be found online for nothing. For those who do not live near a natural food retailer, there are many merchants who sell organic oils in bulk and ship to residential addresses. More people are finding that making gradual change, as opposed to overnight, brings the best results when it comes to maintenance.
