Raw Plant Foods Are Good For You

If you want to lose weight, here is a nice solution. You can simply go raw. The general idea is not to expose your foods to temperatures above 46 C. It means that your meals will stay, so to say, alive, and that you won't destroy numerous healthy substances within, that usually get destroyed by cooking. You can choose vegan raw, or base your meals on plants only, or just make some slight changes in your usual diet.

So, here are some facts you might appreciate. Raw plant foods bring a whole lot of vitamins, minerals, and fiber into your body. But, this is only the beginning. Cooking destroys many beneficial ingredients but also changes various valuable compounds. With the exception of for example carrots and tomatoes, raw veggies mostly contain numerous valuable substances that get at least damaged, if not destroyed by heating.

The point is to consume live vegetables, with fresh and valuable ingredients your body will use in the best way. That's why the organic food is the best option. Well, organic is always much tastier as well. Eating veggies is also a very good way of losing weight without being hungry all the time, because you can eat as much as you want. Who cares about calories, and it is so good.

Of course, like with any other restrictive regime, this one requires good balancing as well. Some vitamins, for example, B12 or D, are mostly found in dairy products and meat, and you have to find other sources for them. The same thing is with various minerals such as calcium or zinc. Luckily, there are various plants that contain those valuable ingredients, but maybe not the same amount.

You should also be aware of the fact that some types of raw foods might be difficult to digest. Cooking would make it more digestible because it breaks specific chains within, but you can do something about it. Non-digestible veggies might be transformed into tasty juices using your blender. Add your favorite nuts and fruits, and you will get tasty healthy and valuable meal.

The point is to avoid processed foods whenever it is possible. This doesn't mean you cannot eat yogurt, for example, and yogurt is really good for your digestion, among other things. Anyway, in this case, you should always choose non-pasteurized products. If you don't want to consume dairy products, find your favorite substitute. Fermented, non-pasteurized veggies such as sauerkraut are also allowed.

There is another thing to mention here. Cooking will destroy some good, but also some bad bacteria. When eating raw, you have to be more careful about some things. As it was mentioned before, cooking makes some types of, for example, grains, more digestible. But, you will get healthier, skinnier and more beautiful if you choose raw. And, you can eat as much as you want.

In any case, when you decide to go raw, familiarize yourself with food's ingredients first. Balance your diet properly, making sure that you get enough vitamins and minerals, fiber and other substances your organism needs on daily basis. Avoid anything that is processed, especially exposed to the heat, and choose organic whenever you can, your body will appreciate this. Eat, lose weight and enjoy being healthy and beautiful.
