The first thing you need to do is research about malt brewing on the internet. Buy all the ingredients needed at the general store and get started. Make sure that the water you have is of best quality because it is the main ingredient in the drink. This is because water quality will determine how the liquor will taste. Secondly, you will also need hops, yeast, and barley. These are the three main requirements to make the malt taste.

Barley as a grain source is what makes such a drink to be called malt. Yeast helps in fermentation and makes a drink have gas and a popping sound when opened. It breaks down the sugar in the grain producing the ethanol and also carbon dioxide gas. Hops are flowers from the vine which makes the liquor to have a bitter taste and also preserve the drink adding aroma.

Malt extracts are also a necessity in producing the malt. The excerpts normally makes the beer to have a good taste. The best extracts make the drink to have consistency. These excerpts are normally in a solid or fluid state. The form of the excerpt that you choose to use effects the quantity needed in making the lager. You should estimate the amount required according to the quantity you want to make by using a formula.

Also like malt extracts, yeast can be gotten in liquid or solid state. The importance of using solid yeast is that it makes the lager have a long shelf life. Liquid yeast has a short shelf life and requires you to handle and use it carefully.

The grain extracts to use will give your beer color and body. Make sure you buy quality grains from a reputable company. For brewing, the grains must undergo fine milling. You can use a grain mill or take it to a grain milling shop. Use the processed grains as soon as possible because it will influence the taste and quality of the brown bottle drink.

If barley is expensive for you to use, you can also use other grain sources as an alternative. These sources can be sorghum, maize, wheat, and even cassava. The sources are cheap and cut down your expenditure and are used in instilling a foamy feel in the liquor. Yeast ripening can be done in a closed or opened vessel. Yeast works on the starch source making the drink strong and tasty.
