Details On How To Service Commercial Coolers

By Cindy H. Cassidy

Aside from regular cleaning, there are a few other things that you need to undertake to make sure that your refrigerator is alright. Ensure you schedule routine maintenance after every few couple of months. You will find that many manufacturers have routine programs aimed at helping a client service commercial coolers on a regular basis.

Most manufacturers have come up with programs designed to make sure that their clients have their units serviced by professionals. Clients are expected to locate the various programs that have already been setup. Once located, they should proceed to enroll for the programs so as to have the units checked out.

Servicing includes having the door gasket checked as well. It is checked to make sure that there is a proper seal. There are various checks that can be performed to determine whether the door is sealing as it should. If it is not sealing, the gasket needs to be replaced.

The temperature in the cooler must be checked more than twice a day. By checking the holding temperature, you will be guaranteeing that the food is safe at all times. In cases where temperature happens to be low, food always begins to spoil.

Low cooler temperatures can be caused by two main problems. You could find that the vents present in the fridge have started to become blocked. Another major cause of low temperatures is when there is a system malfunction within the fridge.

The interior light in a refrigerator serves a very important function. It helps illuminate the interior thus making it possible for employees to find the items that they are looking for. When the light stops working, you will need to ensure that the bulb is replaced with one that has the same number of watts as the current one.

Steel wool and cleaning chemicals should not be used in the interior. Even though they are ideal for cleaning, they can cause damage to your interior. They could also leave behind some chemicals that could affect the flavor of food being stored in the commercial cooler. Only mild soap should be used in cleaning.

Always make sure that a technician gets to look at your unit after every few months. Cleaning by itself is not important to deal with the issues that may arise. A technician will be able to look at it and troubleshoot any problems that could be present. He will also be able to identify areas that could be breaking down soon.
